The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme have been awarded a new contract with the National Citizen Service (NCS) which will see them facilitate the community project for a further four years.
The club’s Community Programme, who have been delivering the NCS since 2011, work with hundreds of young people aged 15-17 to develop their communication and team skills.
Lucy Shuttleworth, NCS co-ordinator, said: “It’s very exciting to be involved with the biggest youth programme in the country and its fantastic news that we have been awarded the contract for the next four years.
“A lot of hard work has gone into the programme and we are looking forward to working with more young people on the programme.”
