Sheffield Wednesday are saddened to learn of the passing of Klas Ingesson.
The former Owls midfielder, just 46, has lost a long battle with illness.
Ingesson signed for Wednesday in September 1994 and made 21 appearances, scoring twice.
The 57-cap Swedish international also represented the likes of PSV Eindhoven, Bari, Bologna, Marseilles and Lecce during his 15-year playing career.
He went on to manage IF Elsborg in his homeland.
