Opposition view...Darko Milanic

3 October 2014

New Leeds coach Darko Milanic is out for his maiden goal and win when the Whites host the Owls at Elland Road on Saturday.

The lunchtime kick-off (12.15pm) unfolds in front of the live Sky TV cameras and represents Milanic’s third game in charge.

Leeds lost 2-0 at Brentford and drew 0-0 with Reading on home soil.

He said: “It’s extremely important.  It will be different. Sheffield play different and it will be difficult.

“They have one day more to regenerate, but we have to do our best.”

Milanic – who succeeded the sacked David Hockaday last month – also believes consistency will come from his charges when their younger players gain more experience.

He added: “This team is very young and it’s normal when the team is young.

“It’s not easy to keep the stability and to play all the Championship games well, they need experience.”
