Wednesday host Norwich on Saturday looking to extend a remarkable run of form facing the Norfolk side.
The productive pedigree stretches back almost a decade, with the Owls having won their last eight games against the Canaries.
The run began in October 2005 in Norfolk with a 1-0 triumph as Chris Brunt found the target for the visitors, while the most recent success was in April 2009 at Carrow Road when a sole strike from Jermaine Johnson ensured the points came back to Sheffield.
It was so nearly nine on the spin too as February 2003 saw the Owls rally from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 on home soil, with a late onslaught almost triggering an unlikely Wednesday win.
There was no doubting the victors on the previous meeting to that topsy-turvy game as Norwich romped to a 5-0 win at Hillsborough in December 2001.
So given the history between the two, an entertaining clash could be on the S6 horizon this weekend – played in a cracking atmosphere to boot.
Norwich have sold in excess of 2,000 tickets, which combined with the superb home support will generate another healthy Hillsborough attendance.
Tickets are available around the ground and can be purchased in person at the Owls’ Ticket Office, the Sheffield Wednesday Online Shop or by telephone on 0871 900 1867 (£2 booking fee per person).
Supporters of both clubs are also reminded that there will be a pay on the day facility at the cash turnstiles.
See you there!
