Tuesday evening’s Sky Bet Championship fixture between the Owls and Brentford at Griffin Park held special significance for the hosts.
This month, Brentford are celebrating their 125th anniversary and designated the clash with Wednesday as the game to celebrate the special milestone.
Prior to kick-off, Owls skipper Glenn Loovens presented Bees captain Tony Craig with a specially designed cut crystal decanter, with the inscription:
“Presented to Brentford FC on their 125th anniversary by the Board of Sheffield Wednesday FC”
SWFC would like to wish Brentford a happy anniversary.
The lively encounter saw the sides take a share of the spoils in the 0-0 draw.
