Stuart Gray has said the club’s special ticket offer for this weekend’s match with Watford underlines Sheffield Wednesday’s ‘family club’ status.
Wednesday – who have won the Family Excellence Award for the past two seasons running - host Watford on Saturday and the Owls head coach believes the Family Ticket package is an excellent gesture from the club to the fans.
Gray said: “Football has become very expensive for the family coming to the game.
“It’s very expensive and how our fans do it - I think it’s incredible to see them all at Brighton, at Middlesbrough and all the other away games.
“We really appreciate the support they give the team.”

He continued: “The good thing about our club is the fans can get close to the players.
“When we pull up on a matchday, the players are all signing autographs in the car park.
“I hope the game doesn’t become where fans can’t get close to players and get autographs.
“I know in the Premier League it’s a little bit difficult and players are bussed in and bussed out so they can’t get close.
“Every young boy wants to be a professional footballer, so it means a lot to meet his heroes as well.
“The players do a lot in the community and I encourage that as well."
