Sheffield Wednesday have announced their support for a national organisation that works to combat a number of men’s health related issues.
The club will be backing Movember, who are health partners with Prostate Cancer UK – the Football League’s Official Charity Partner, by helping raise its awareness and profile within the football community.
The initiative encourages men to grow moustaches during November to mark their appreciation of the charity and the health issues profiled.
Movember has raised £345m for men’s health over the last ten years and has been responsible for more than 800 initiatives concerned with prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health in twenty-one countries.
The organisation are committed to accelerating outcomes in key areas of men’s health and this year, for the first time and with the help of football club’s across the UK, are raising funds for men’s mental health problems.
