It has been revealed today that Sheffield Wednesday offers its supporters the cheapest and most affordable matchday experience in the whole of the Football League.
Over the season, the club offers its fans the cheapest matchday ticket and day out in comparison to other clubs in the league according to latest research carried about by the BBC.
This impressive result comes at a time when the club is working harder than ever to cater to its supporters whilst keeping in mind the current financial climate.
Throughout the season, Sheffield Wednesday offer periodic discounted tickets to ensure every fan is accommodated for. Ticket offers, such as this weekend’s Family Ticket offer that can see an average family saving up to £28, are what set the Owls apart.
Sheffield Wednesday’s Director of Communications Trevor Braithwait said: “We are delighted to learn that we offer the cheapest day out for our supporters in the local area. The prices of our Season Tickets for Championship football compare favourably too, whilst emphasising the significant savings on offer during the Early Bird purchase period.
“We conducted extensive research over the summer and gauged supporter feedback to arrive at what has clearly proved an extremely competitive pricing structure. Overall, the survey reflects very well on Sheffield Wednesday, underlining our ethos as a football club with its community at heart.”
Other ticket offers run throughout the year including ‘Kids for a quid’ and ‘Adults for £10 and concessions for £5’ which all adds to the commitment the club shows to its supporters.
