The Owls’ Development squad have so far enjoyed a productive 2014/15 season.

After eight games, Lee Bullen’s side are top of the Professional Development U21 North Division table, with four wins, three draws and one defeat.

Following on from the Owls' 3-1 win over Bristol City at Middlewood Road, Wednesday travelled to Colchester on Monday evening and stormed to the top of table in emphatic fashion.

Goals from Franck Betra, Ryan Meadows (2), Will De Havilland and Matt Penney sealed the three points in the comfortable 5-0 win.

There are nine teams in the North Division and ten in the South.

Wednesday will face every team in the North Division home and away and each team in the South Division once.

That makes for a total of 26 games. At the end of the season, the top two positions of both divisions meet in the knockout stage to determine the overall league champion.
