'Wednesday' back amongst the honours

9 October 2014

The Owls’ award-winning matchday programme is back amongst the honours.

‘Wednesday’ has picked up the first IV Football Programme Magazine award of the season having been voted Programme of the Month.

SWFC beat off competition from 52 other entries to take the prize.

IV editor Neil Patterson said: “From all the entries, the final decision of the four judges was unanimous.

“Once again, Sheffield Wednesday have produced a first class programme which really stands out from the rest.”

The judges highlighted in particular the pre-season edition of ‘Wednesday’ for the game against Premiership side Newcastle.

Patterson added: “In my experience, clubs usually produce programmes for pre-season friendlies with a limited amount of pages and not much content. This was not the case with this magnificent publication.

“The content caters for all Wednesday fans. I don’t usually enthuse about pre-season programmes but couldn’t fail to be impressed with possibly the best one I have ever seen.”

‘Wednesday’ offers significant added value this season, with eight extra pages of content and the price held at £3.00.

As ever, the club would like thank the programme’s thousands of loyal readers for their support, together with brand partners O Publishing & Media.
