Young Owl Joe Wildsmith is preparing for Under-20 duty with England and has spoken of his pride having been called on to the international stage.
Wildsmith excelled for Wednesday coming through the academy ranks, earning his maiden professional contract in November 2013.
Now, the 19-year-old is eagerly anticipating the start of the International Four Team Tournament in the Netherlands.
He said: “It’s a huge honour to be called up for your country and I’m really excited.
“It makes me very proud. I just want to continue on the right career path and go from strength to strength.
“I will keep working hard, keep focused and hopefully the rewards will follow.”
The England Under-20s will face hosts Holland, Germany and Turkey, with the Three Lions’ first outing today against the Germans.
