On this day 22 years ago, the Owls produced a stunning show in the third round of the League Cup at Hillsborough.
Leicester City were the visitors, who came up against a dominant Owls side that ran out 7-1 winners.
Mark Bright (2), Gordon Watson (2) David Hirst, Nigel Worthington and Chris Bart-Williams fired the Owls into the last 16.
Wednesday would make it to the final of the competition at Wembley on 18 April 1993 – just two years after famously defeating Manchester United 1-0 in the Rumbelows Cup final.
Despite great results along the way, including this featured 7-1 win over the Foxes and 4-0 victory over QPR, Arsenal triumphed 2-1 in the final at Wembley.
