Zayatte blow for Wednesday

9 October 2014

Owls defender Kamil Zayatte is set for a stint on the sidelines, a scan on his hamstring injury has confirmed.

Zayatte is expected to be out of action for up to two months due to the injury he sustained in the recent Sky Bet Championship clash with Ipswich.

The scan has revealed a partial hamstring tear and head coach Stuart Gray said of the news:

"I would think Kamil is going to be out for a minimum of six to eight weeks.

"It is a blow. Some players heal faster than others so hopefully Kamil will be back sooner rather than later.

"It's disappointing for Kamil. He has had to sit and watch Tom and Glenn perform very well.

"When he has had an opportunity to show what he can do like the Burnley and Bolton games, he has come in and not let anybody down."
