Gray has options for Ipswich clash

30 September 2014

  • Owls face Ipswich at Hillsborough tonight
  • Stuart Gray could make changes
  • Kieran Lee back in Wednesday squad

Stuart Gray has numerous selection options for tonight’s home game with Ipswich.

And with the Owls having lost successive games for the first time this season, the head coach may decide to shuffle his pack.

One certainty is that Tom Lees will be missing as the defender continues his recovery from a hamstring strain.

But Kamil Zayatte returns to the squad following his one-match suspension and could line up alongside skipper Glenn Loovens.

Lewis Buxton slotted into central defence for Saturday’s reverse at Cardiff and Gray could decide to keep the status quo at the heart of the rearguard.

Elsewhere, Jeremy Helan and loan recruits Royston Drenthe and Hallam Hope are pushing for starts.

And a big plus for Gray is the return of Kieran Lee, who will figure in the matchday squad after a spell on the sidelines with a groin injury.
