  • Jacques Maghoma looks ahead to Ipswich clash
  • Owls back in action at Hillsborough on Tuesday
  • Winger wants response following Cardiff setback

Owls forward Jacques Maghoma has said the squad are now looking towards Tuesday’s game with Ipswich.

The ex-Burton man took a philosophical approach after the 2-1 defeat at Cardiff and has his sights set on an immediate response on home soil.

The Owls face in-form Ipswich who have won four consecutive Championship fixtures.

Maghoma said: “The good thing is we have a game coming up quickly on our own patch against Ipswich and we’ll need to be on top form.

“They are on a good run but so were Reading and we beat them 1-0. The fans played their part that day and we’ll need them again on Tuesday.

“It’s still early in the season and there will be massive highs and massive lows. We’re on a low right now because its back to back defeats but we will put that right.”

Disappointed not to have taken anything from The Cardiff City Stadium, Maghoma says the key thing now is to bounce back at Hillsborough.

He added: “We couldn’t score that second goal but we’ll put this one behind us and get our heads up for Tuesday.

“Make no mistake, Tuesday is another big game for us and it’s important we respond in the right manner.”
