More to come

  • Chris Maguire pleased with run in the side
  • The Scot says there is much more to come
  • Wednesday back in action on Saturday at Bolton

Owls forward Chris Maguire has said there is plenty more to come from Sheffield Wednesday and himself this season.

The Scot has been an ever-present for Wednesday so far this term and opened his account against Millwall last month.

The former Derby striker is keen to add to that tally as the Owls face another hectic bout of fixtures over the coming weeks.

He said: “It’s been good to get the run of games I’ve been getting.

“I’d definitely liked to have got a few more goals but I’m starting to get back into the swing of things.

“I know there’s more to come from me and hopefully it’ll come sooner rather than later. Obviously I’d like to better my goal tally from last season.”

Wednesday travel to Bolton on Saturday, who are still seeking their first Championship win of the season.

And Maguire is confident Wednesday can continue their promising start to 2014/15 by claiming another three points on the road.

He added: “Not many teams will go to Brighton and win but we did. And we scored three goals at Middlesbrough and beat Burnley on their patch.

“Everyone can see it’s about team work and everybody being in it together.

“Everyone is in great spirits and people can see the togetherness out on the pitch.”
