- Royston Drenthe in line for Owls debut
- Former Real Madrid ace joined Wednesday on loan
- Drenthe could feature against Bolton
New recruit Royston Drenthe is in line for his maiden Owls appearance on Saturday.
The Dutchman signed for Wednesday on a loan deal from Reading in August and Stuart Gray is confident the wideman can make a big impression in S6.
And Drenthe is set to go straight into the squad for the trip to Bolton this weekend.
Gray said: “Royston has looked really good in training. He is an exciting player who can give us something different.
“He is the kind of player who can leave a defender on his backside.
“He is versatile, he can play on either wing or down the middle.
“Before squad numbers came in, I would say he is an old-fashioned number seven, 11 or maybe ten.”
