  • Owls seek Ipswich response
  • Tractor Boys visit Hillsborough on Tuesday
  • Fans can play major role says Maghoma

Following Saturday’s reverse at Cardiff, the Owls have an immediate opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Ipswich are the visitors to S6 on Tuesday night (7.45pm) and three points could see Wednesday climb back into the coveted top six.

Midfield man Jacques Maghoma spoke to the media at The Cardiff City Stadium and is keen for his side to get back on track against the Tractor Boys.

He said: The good thing is we have a game coming up quickly on our own patch against Ipswich and we’ll need to be on top form.

“They are on a good run but so were Reading and we beat them 1-0. The fans played their part that day and we’ll need them again on Tuesday.”

Meanwhile, head coach Stuart Gray is hoping for a cracking atmosphere under the Hillsborough lights and stressed the important role the supporters can play.

He said: “The one thing about the Championship is the games come thick and fast.

“We have a big game on Tuesday night against Ipswich and it would be great to see as many fans in Hillsborough as possible.

“The atmosphere against Reading was terrific and certainly gave the players a lift.

“The supporters have a massive part to play and I can’t speak highly enough of them.”
