Deliver the points

13 April 2015

Stuart Gray has urged his team to deliver a welcome home win against Brentford on Tuesday night at Hillsborough.

The Bees clash is the second S6 game inside four days following Saturday’s clash with Charlton that finished 1-1, despite Wednesday creating a raft of chances and striking the woodwork twice in quick succession.

And Gray said: “All you can do is keep working hard, keep doing the right things and hope the luck will turn.

“I will take an ugly win if necessary, I just want three points.

“We should have won on Saturday but didn’t but I have no concerns about creating chances because we are doing that.

“We have to convert the chances into goals.”

And Gray is calling for goals from all over the park and insists the burden must not lie with the strikers alone.

He added: “I demand goals from all over the pitch, not just the forwards.

“We should have more goals, we know that, but it’s not just from the strikers.

“When the centre halves go up for set pieces, I expect a goal or two but that hasn’t happened for us.

“We know where we need to improve and hopefully we can do that on Tuesday.”
