Gray previews Canaries clash

5 April 2015

Stuart Gray is relishing the Easter Monday trip to Norwich and is confident the Owls will rise to the occasion at Carrow Road.

The in-form Canaries are vying for automatic promotion and start as favourites but Gray is well aware what his side are capable of.

He told swfc.co.uk: “It’s a sell-out game, Norwich are right up there and there will be a cracking atmosphere.

“They are a very good side with some very good players and we know exactly what kind of a challenge we are facing.

“But anyone who has seen us play away from home this season knows will know what we are capable of too.

“I am looking forward to what I expect to be an exciting game.”

In the bigger picture, Gray emphasised how the Owls will have a big say in the promotion shake-up.

After the Canaries clash, Wednesday face Brentford, Bournemouth and Watford, each of whom are in the elevation mix.

Gray added: “We are playing teams who are right up there and who could get automatic promotion.

“As far as I am concerned, I want as many points as possible and you could see from the way we played against Huddersfield on Saturday that there’s no way we can be accused of having the flip-flops on.

“I am looking forward to these games because these teams are amongst the best in the division and you always want to pit yourself against the best.”
