London to Amsterdam challenge 2015

14 April 2015

Sheffield Wednesday supporter Chris Heeley has been confirmed as one of the cyclists to represent his club this summer and help raise awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer UK – official charity partner of the Football League.

The London to Amsterdam cycle challenge takes place in June and Chris will be pedalling for Wednesday for the second successive year.

Last time out, the 49-year-old North Stand Season Ticket holder raised an impressive £2,350 and is aiming to surpass that total in 2015.

He said: “I was motivated to do the London to Amsterdam challenge last year after the loss to prostate cancer of a friend and fellow Wednesdayite.

“I’d always fancied doing a long bike ride and this gave me the motivation to train for it and raise money for a good cause at the same time.”
