Chris Maguire says the spirit in the camp will serve Wednesday well this weekend.
The Owls face a Watford side who have already confirmed their promotion to the Premier League but need to a result to guarantee the league title.
But Maguire believes the Owls could well upset the odds and show their steel once more on the road.
He said: “We have beaten some good teams this year. We have a great spirit and I think we showed that when we went to Bournemouth.
“Nobody expected us to get anything down there.
“We went there confident that we could get something and we’ll do the same this weekend.
“We know we have a good, honest bunch of lads.
“The gaffer drills that into everybody and everybody knows what they have to do.”
