Sheffield Wednesday are saddened to learn that former club chairman Matt Sheppard has passed away at the age of 90.
Mr Sheppard sat at the helm of Hillsborough between 1973 and 1976.
The born and bred Wednesdayite from Firth Park first joined the club as an advisor then accountant before being opted on to the board of directors before becoming chairman.
Everyone at Hillsborough sends their deepest sympathies to Mr Sheppard’s family and friends at this difficult time.
