The Owls’ Under-18s finished their league campaign with a creditable 1-1 draw against Brentford on Saturday.
Mason Duffy gave Wednesday the lead but the hosts were pegged back in the 94th minute at Middlewood Road.
Coach Steven Haslam said: “It was a really young side we put out and the lads put in a very resolute performance.
“Brentford have been the best side in the country this season and I can’t deny them a draw because they have some quality players.
“My focus is on our boys, though, and we have to be satisfied with what I would say has been a season of progress.
“Three of the boys have earned professional contracts and we wish them every success as young professionals.”
