Stuart Gray has applauded his players for equalling a club record on Tuesday night.
The clean sheet posted in the 1-0 win over Brentford was the Owls’ 17th league shutout of the season, thus equalling the record set by Jack Charlton’s side of 1978/79.
Gray said: “I credit the players with that. They should be proud of themselves because that is a real achievement.
“From Keiren Westwood and Chris Kirkland to the defenders and all the way through the squad, it’s credit to a man.
“We attack as an XI and defend as an XI.
“It is the result of hours and hours on the training ground and then taking those practises into matches.
“We have it right at one end and now we have to get it right at the other.
“I am big believer in getting it right in both boxes and that is the challenge ahead.”
