Owls duo Kamil Zayatte and Sergiu Bus could make their return to action as Wednesday face Huddersfield on Saturday.
Zayatte was named on the teamsheet last time out at Rotherham but pulled up with hamstring injury during the warm-up.
But the commanding defender has resumed training along with striker Bus.
The 22-year-old hasn’t featured for the Owls since the 0-0 draw with Brighton in February after suffering a groin injury.
Elsewhere, Wednesday have injury concerns with Will Keane (ankle) and Jeremy Helan (groin).
Stuart Gray said: “Will has just had a little bit of a setback. He’s got a bit of swelling in his ankle so we’ve had to pull him off the training pitch just to let that settle down.
“I don’t want to jump the gun. We will leave it as late as possible with Will and Jeremy.”
