Head coach happy with loan addition
Owls head coach Carlos Carvalhal is delighted to have experienced defender Michael Turner on board for the 2015/16 campaign.The 31-year-old has signed on a season-long loan from Premier League side Norwich City and Carvalhal welcomes the qualities Turner brings to the table.
He said: “Turner has come to the club because he can give energy, he is a strong personality and he likes to win.
“He brings a lot of experience to the team and that is very welcome.
“We need these type of players, we have a lot of games coming up and when we call on him to help the team, he will be ready.”
Wednesday are set to face Middlesbrough this weekend, where Turner could make his debut and Carvalhal added:
“We understood that we needed to bring in one more defender and we have brought in someone who has experience and who knows the Championship.
“I am sure he can add to the positive environment of the team.”
