Fans will be the difference

7 August 2015

Supporters are key to success

Carlos Carvalhal has no doubt that the players will respond to the positive atmosphere on Saturday.

As the head coach puts the final preparations in place for the Bristol City clash, Carvalhal has called on the supporters to play their part.

“The big difference will be the fans and their enthusiasm,” he said.

“I know the players will be playing in a very positive and fantastic environment with the fans right behind them.

“If there is an atmosphere that is positive for our players, they will answer with 100 per cent and give the best that they have inside.

“I know the fans will do this.”

One aim that Carvalhal has for the 2015/16 campaign is for his side to produce strong performances on a consistent basis at Hillsborough.

Of course the ideal start to that end would be to post three points from the Robins clash and he added:

“Last season, the scores weren’t what we wanted at Hillsborough so we want to change this but to change this we need our supporters.

“We need the fans’ full support and the answer of the players will be very good.”
