Wallace set for action
With pre-season done and dusted and the campaign set to kick off this weekend, Owls summer recruit Ross Wallace says the squad are looking forward.A 5-0 victory over St Mirren rounded off the club’s summer schedule and the ex-Burnley man is now ready for the Championship to begin.
The winger has enjoyed a productive pre-season campaign and caused the Scottish Championship outfit problems from the off last weekend, claiming an assist with his accurate cross for Atdhe Nuhiu.
As well as those trademark assists, Wallace is also out to chip in with goals throughout the campaign and said:
“We have got a lot of forward thinking players and a lot of goals will come from them.
“As a wide man you want to chip in with goals as well as creating them and I will be looking to do that.
“It was good for everybody to get a comfortable win before the season starts.
“Scoring so many goals and playing as we did has given us confidence and I think we’ve now got used to playing with each other.
“All in all we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
He continued: “It’s good to get pre-season completed and everyone is looking forward.”
