Owls set to beat last term's S6 curtain-raiser

5 August 2015

The Owls’ big Championship curtain-raiser unfolds this Saturday against Bristol City – and the club are expecting a big attendance to mark the new era at Hillsborough.

Fans have been flocking to snap up their tickets for the Robins clash, with the Ticket Office extremely busy throughout the week – we apologise for any inconvenience caused from extended waiting time.

Supporters are advised that the quickest and easiest way to buy tickets for the game is through the Sheffield Wednesday Online Shop

Newly-promoted City will be backed by a travelling contingent of over 1,000, while for the Owls, we are set to surpass the home attendance figure of 21, 054 for the first home game of last season against Derby.

With a completely new-look squad led by a new head coach in Carlos Carvalhal, Saturday promises to be a must-see match in S6 and supporters are reminded to arrive early at the stadium to take advantage of heavily discounted food and beverage deals before 2.15pm.

In addition, one lucky fan will drive away from Hillsborough in a brand new BMW – don’t forget to pick up your voucher on the turnstiles for the half time draw made by chairman Dejphon Chansiri.

The 1867 Lounge will also be open after the game with further offers for food and drink – to hopefully celebrate all three points!
