Under-18s look forward to City clash

11 August 2015

Steven Haslam says there are plenty of positives to take into the Owls’ first away game of the season this week.

The Under-18s travel to Bristol City on Wednesday hoping to go one better than the draw with Cardiff at Middlewood Road last Saturday.

Haslam told swfc.co.uk: “There were lots of positives to take from the game on Saturday.

“We started the game on the front foot and scored early on through Jake Nicholson after good work by George Hirst.

“In the first half in particular, I thought we played some excellent football, we controlled the game with the ball and created lots of chances and really should have scored more goals.

“In the second half, we searched for the killer second goal but credit to Cardiff, who came back into the game strongly and equalised with a penalty.

“We now look forward to our game at Bristol City on Wednesday."
