Big period for Owls

15 December 2015

Michael Turner says the squad head into the festive fixtures full of confidence and believes it could be a very important period in the season.

With Wednesday hot on the heels of the play-off pack, the on-loan defender is aiming to emerge from December still handily placed in the table to push on in the New Year.

With a clash against MK Dons this evening, followed by games with Wolves, Birmingham and Middlesbrough on the horizon, Turner is targeting a healthy point return.

He said: “We have another game coming tonight, it’s a busy Christmas period and it’s important we have as many players as possible.

“We need to carry on what we’ve been doing, we are on a great run with just one league defeat in 14. Turning a few draws into wins would obviously kick us on that bit more.

“I have confidence in this squad and in the way we are playing that we can do that.”

Turner added: “There is a great camaraderie between the players, everyone gets on well and that shows in games and afterwards when the lads are all together and going over to the fans.

“The fans are always great and to be a part of this is very special.”
