Carlos delighted with the team spirit

6 December 2015

With just one defeat in the last 13 Championship games and one defeat all season at Hillsborough, great strides have certainly been made.

The Owls continued their resilient run on Sunday, posting a point in the clash against in-from Derby.

Carlos Carvalhal was disappointed not to emerge with all three after an impressive team performance in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

The head coach, though, is delighted with the team spirit, unity and quality and says Liam Palmer summed all that up with his display at right back against the Rams.

Carlos explained: “I’m absolutely happy with the quality that we play with and very happy about the spirit of the team and the vibe that we have at the moment.

“The players are together and I can give you an example.

“Liam Palmer played in the game against Blackburn, he was then outside of the 18 against Stoke and was today the best player on the pitch.

“It means that we have everybody together inside and that we have a really strong team.”

Palmer was named as the Sky Bet Man of the Match as the Owls climbed up to seventh in the division, level on points with sixth-placed Cardiff where they head next weekend.
