Sheffield Wednesday hosted the club’s hugely successful annual Player and Kit Sponsors’ Christmas Dinner on Tuesday evening.
The festive night held in the club’s 1867 Lounge gives sponsors the chance to dine and mingle with their favourite players.
And what a night it proved to be!
The Wednesday stars – who head to Cardiff on Saturday in search of a victory that would send the club into the top six - sat alongside their respective sponsors for the evening, who each received their sponsored player's shirt to take away as a memento from the Christmas gathering.
The evening was enjoyed by supporters of all ages and players alike, in what turned out to be a memorable festive occasion.
To kick off the evening, the sponsors were invited to have their photo taken alongside their player prior to the sumptuous three-course meal.
Head coach Carlos Carvalhal addressed the room and the Wednesday squad were all on hand to chat to fans, sign autographs and pose for photographs!
The evening forms part of the supporters’ overall sponsorship package and has become one of the highlights of the commercial calendar.
Sheffield Wednesday chief operating officer Paul Bell said: “We are extremely delighted with what was another excellent evening where supporters, sponsors and players could all come together.
“The feedback has once again been overwhelmingly positive and it was great to see the players and fans enjoying each other’s company all evening.
“I would like to thank everybody who was involved in making the event special, including the supporters and all the players, who were a credit to the club.
“We look forward to many more of these special events in the future.”
Brell Ewart from Whitehouse Construction Co. Ltd, who enjoyed some of Hillsborough’s finest hospitality on Sunday as the Owls faced Derby, said: “After having several years of sponsorship packages for matches, Sunday’s was by far the best day to date.
“Also, last night was again the best sponsors’ night we have been to. Really most enjoyable.”
Paul Elliott of Southwood Mechanical Services Ltd added: “I would just like to say how much we enjoyed our evening last night with the players, coaching staff and other sponsors at Sheffield Wednesday.
“It was a very enjoyable night and you all made us feel very welcome, thank you once more.”
