We have the quality

30 December 2015

Now just past the halfway stage in the campaign and still very much in the hunt for a top six finish, Jeremy Helan says the Owls must keep up the good work.

Wednesday sit in seventh position and four points off the play-off pack.

The Frenchman says Wednesday have the necessary quality to make a big push in the second half of the Sky Bet Championship season.

He said: “We want to carry on now for the rest of the season, it will be difficult because it’s the Championship, but why not?

“We want to push for the play-offs and I believe we can do it. We have the players and we have the quality.

“We score a lot of goals and it’s always nice to know you can do that.”

Particularly at Hillsborough, the Owls have been a force all season and this was underlined by the most recent wins over Wolves (4-1) and Birmingham (3-0), respectively.

Helan now hopes that Wednesday can replicate that form away from home to aid the club’s push up the division.

The Owls travel to Fulham on Saturday looking to chalk up their third win on the road in 2015/16 and Helan added:

“We need to play freely and with confidence like we’ve been doing and that should get us what we need away from home.

“We need to do the same as at home which is easy to say but we are confident, we have come a long way in a short space of time and now we want to kick on even further.”
