- Sergiu Bus out with groin injury
- Jose Semedo returns to training
- Owls face Millwall at The Den on Tuesday (7.45pm)
Sergiu Bus is set to face a spell on the sidelines after injuring his groin in the warm-up at Derby on Saturday.
Owls head coach Stuart Gray has confirmed the striker will have a scan on Tuesday.
The blow has added to the Owls’ recent injury frustrations with skipper Glenn Loovens out with a fractured ankle and Jose Semedo with a toe injury.
“You don’t expect to lose your players in the warm-up but that’s what happened with Bus on Saturday,” Gray said. “He’s going for a scan tomorrow.
“We’ll know the results of that on Tuesday but he is in pain walking so I would imagine he will be two or three weeks at the minimum.”
On a positive note for Wednesday, Semedo could make his return having trained on Monday.
The midfielder missed Saturday’s trip to Derby but could play a part at The Den and Gray added:
“Semi has had a fitness test and a run out this morning so we’re hoping we don’t have any reaction tomorrow.”
