Charity partner for Cardiff clash - St. Wilfrid's Centre

6 February 2015

Tomorrow's charity partner is the St. Wilfrid’s Centre, the organisation that provides services for homeless and vulnerable people in the Sheffield area.

The centre, located on Queens Road, Sheffield, welcomes clients with mental health issues, those with learning disabilities and people recovering from addictions or those that are finding it difficult to cope generally and are socially excluded.

St. Wilfrid's also offers essential welfare provision for people who are homeless and supports them to access the appropriate services.

Deb Leonard from the charity, said: “People who come along to St. Wilfrid's are usually those who feel like they can’t turn anywhere else and we help many people every year to help them turn their lives around. We have skilled staff that offer basic welfare services and activities to promote wellbeing and independence.”

Deb added: “We’re so grateful to Sheffield Wednesday for accommodating us at tomorrow’s match and we’d like to thank all the fans for their support.”
