On Sunday 8 March, Hillsborough will host a special event to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the 2004/05 promotion-winning season.
The sold out evening in the club’s newly refurbished 1867 lounge will see a reunion of the team that secured a memorable return to the Championship.
An action-packed campaign culminated in that unforgettable final at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on Sunday 29 May 2005, when the Owls overcame Hartlepool 4-2 after extra time.
But of course the final game was not the only talking point of the 2004/05 season and all the action will be re-lived at Hillsborough a week on Sunday!
Compering the evening is Sky Sports presenter and Sheffield Wednesday Community patron David Garrido and all funds raised will go to the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme.
Tickets are sold out but supporters can request to be placed on the reserve list by emailing community@swfc.co.uk.
Goals from Jon-Paul McGovern, Steve MacLean, Glenn Whelan and Drew Talbot secured victory in front of 42,000 Owls fans in the Welsh capital.
