- Owls sign Manchester United starlet
- Marnick Vermijl pens three and a half year deal
- Defender looking forward to S6 stint
Marnick Vermijl has spoken exclusively to swfc.co.uk following his deadline day move from Manchester United – and is counting down the days to his first involvement with Wednesday.
The versatile defender joined the Owls for an undisclosed fee from the Premiership giants in pursuit of regular first team football.
And the 23-year-old brings promising pedigree to Hillsborough with a season-long loan stint in the Dutch Eredivisie already under the belt.
He said: “T’m really excited. This is a fantastic place to play your football and now I just want to pull on the shirt on play.
“We are nine points of the play-offs and there is everything to play for.
“I just want to get started. I had a good year in Holland and the Championship is also a very high standard.
“I am eager to learn and delighted to be playing for this club. Pace is my trademark, I like to get up and down, and I like to think I am good in the tackle too.”
