Gray reviews Middlesbrough win

28 February 2015

  • Owls beat Middlesbrough 2-0
  • Gray delighted with performance
  • Successive wins for Wednesday

Confidence led to dominance said Stuart Gray following the 2-0 win over Middlesbrough at Hillsborough on Saturday.

After a low-key first half, the Owls hit a quick-fire brace after the break to seal victory and complete a league double over the Teessiders.

And Gray was delighted with the way in which his side went about their business to post a welcome home win:

He said: “Once the first goal went in, you could see the way the players took hold of the game.

“They moved the ball well, they were confident and that led to us dominating.

“It was an outstanding team performance and I thought all the lads put in eights and nines out of ten, which is what you need at this level.

“That’s back to back wins and seven goals from three games so maybe we are just starting to get that little rub of the green.

“The effort and commitment was fantastic and that gave the crowd a big lift, which led to a terrific atmosphere.”
