Stuart Gray was delighted with the convincing win at Millwall on Tuesday and said his side fully merited all three points.
The Owls roared into a 3-0 lead at The Den and conceded a late consolation that Gray tagged the only negative of the night.
He said: “We’ve taken our chances tonight and that has been the difference. In recent weeks we have been creating plenty of chances but not scoring them.
“Tonight we did that and I thought we dominated the game after a 20-minute spell at the start.
“We passed the ball well, we created space and caused Millwall problems.
“The only disappointing thing was that we conceded a late goal because Chris Kirkland deserved a clean sheet.
“He showed what a quality goalkeeper he is and I thought he was excellent.
“He hasn’t had many minutes on the pitch but he told me before the game he is completely ready to come in and as I say, his performance and that of the team deserved a clean sheet.”
