With one Manchester United starlet already in the building on loan, the Owls have gone one better anid signed an Old Trafford youngster on a permanent deal.
Marnick Vermijl joined Will Keane at Hillsborough on deadline day and says his erstwhile team mate played a key role in the cross-Pennines switch.
Vermijl said: “Will is my friend and he told me nothing but good things about Sheffield Wednesday.
“He told me about how he has enjoyed it here and the size of the club.
“It made my decision easier because I am at a very important stage of my career.
“I know this is the right move for me and I am now looking forward to getting started with my new team mates.”
