The Owls are hopeful over Jose Semedo’s inclusion in Saturday’s squad against Derby.
The midfielder has been rated as 50-50 after picking up an ankle injury during Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Brighton.
Prior to the Seagulls clash, Semedo had also struggled with a toe infection and Stuart Gray said:
“Jose is struggling at the moment.
“He’s in a boot to take the pressure off his ankle and will be touch and go for Saturday.
“It’s disappointing for him because he is a big loss for us, as we saw on Saturday.
“If Semi stays down on the pitch, you know he has a problem. For Semi not to be able to carry on, we knew something was not right.
“He’s a leader and one thing we do know is that even if he’s only at 75%, he’ll want to be back out there, that is for sure.”
