Owls strengthen attacking options

  • Striker joins Owls from CSKA Sofia
  • Bus prolific in front of goal for Sofia in 2014/15

Owls head coach Stuart Gray is pleased with the addition of highly-rated striker Sergiu Bus.

The Romanian frontman has joined Wednesday on a three and a half year deal from CSKA Sofia, where Bus has been prolific this season.

The 22-year-old has scored ten goals from 19 games for Sofia in 2014/15, who sit top of Bulgaria’s top flight.

Gray is hoping the coveted forward will replicate that form at Hillsborough.

He said: “He can stick the ball in the back of the net, that is for sure.

“That’s why we have brought him into the football club. We know we need to strengthen and Sergiu is a great addition.”

Gray continued: “He’s got energy, hunger, he wants to get into the full international side but most important, he can score goals.

“Hopefully, the boy will hit the ground running.”
