Points to play for

Stuart Gray insists there is plenty left for the Owls to play for in this season’s Sky Bet Championship.

With 16 games of the campaign to go and 48 points up for grabs, the head coach is keen to steer Wednesday back on course and recapture the winning feeling.

Ahead of the Owls’ fixture with Brighton, Gray said:

“We want to go on a run again and get that winning feeling back. There are a lot of points to play for and a lot of pride as well.

“We started the season well, we dipped off and then suddenly went again so we know we have it in us.

“I set my standards high. There’s probably only Derby, Bournemouth and Middlesbrough that are getting consistent results.

“Ipswich had been on a dip but beat us the other night so we need to get on a run and we can’t feel sorry for ourselves.”

The Seagulls will arrive at Hillsborough with three defeats from their last four games and are just outside the bottom three on goal difference.

Gray continued: “I want to win every game and that’s always how I plan and prepare my team.

“The most important thing is there are still a lot of points to play for.”
