Owls boss Stuart Gray has been impressed by new recruit Sergiu Bus.
The striker has settled in well with the Owls and has adapted quickly to his new surroundings in Sheffield, according to the head coach.
As Wednesday prepare to face Brighton tomorrow, Bus is in contention to make his second appearance at Hillsborough.
Gray said: “He has looked a lot sharper in training. When players come from abroad, it’s such a big learning curve.
“The good thing is his English is very good and he understands what we are asking of him.
“He’s looked sharp and strong in training so maybe there will be an opportunity for him on Saturday.”
Meanwhile, Gray has not ruled out making further changes following a disappointing defeat at Ipswich in midweek.
“It was just a shock to me how we played,” he said.
“It was an off night and the players know it was not acceptable.
“If you’ve got the shirt, you’ve got to keep it. Nobody has got any guarantee of keeping their place after the performance the other night.”
