The Owls Under-21s suffered defeat at home to Birmingham on Tuesday afternoon.
Second half goals from Will Packwood and Amari Bell sealed the win for the Blues.
Chances were few and far between in a close fought game that saw Jonathan Fusco go close in the early stages, but the forward’s strike flew just wide from 20 yards.
Paul Corry then tried his luck from distance after the break but his lob landed the wrong side of the upright.
Then on the hour mark, the visitors hit the front through Packwood, who scrambled home in the six yard box before Bell put the game beyond doubt on the counter, inside the final ten minutes.
