- Atdhe Nuhiu on Owls competition
- Man Utd loan ace Will Keane vying for the shirt
- Owls face Birmingham this evening (7.45pm) at Hillsborough
Atdhe Nuhiu has welcomed competition in the striker’s department with Will Keane battling for a place in Stuart Gray’s squad.
The 22-year-old signed on loan for the Owls earlier this month and could make his first appearance in tonight’s Championship meeting with Birmingham.
The Manchester United product has been at Old Trafford since the age of 11 and is out to make an impact for the Owls during the second half of the term.
Nuhiu, who has scored seven goals in all competitions including two in his last four said: “Competition for me is something that makes me play better.
“Competition always makes you a better player because you need to fight for your place.
“Whether it’s a striker or any other position, I always welcome every player who comes here and help them to settle into the group.
“Everything that happens is down to what you do on the pitch and what team the manager chooses to select.
“I hope he can come here and help us achieve our goals.”
