Thanks to a charity initiative Sheffield Wednesday are giving fans a once in a lifetime opportunity to play on the Hiillsborough pitch.
The club have joined up with Football Aid to provide fans with the chance to play on the Owls pitch by ‘bidding’ for their place on the team.
Through the charity’s website fans can bid for their place on the supporter’s team and can either submit their ideal offer or can pay a one-off payment.
The unique opportunity will see fans pull on their very own exclusive personalised Sheffield Wednesday replica shirt, use the official dressing room and walk down the tunnel.
Owls legends and Football Aid ambassadors Lee Bullen, John Pearson and John Sheridan are showing their full support to the match and are encouraging fans to bid for their place on the team.
Positions are now available in the auction bidding period visit www.footballaid.com, choose the Sheffield Wednesday game and choose from the options.
Option 1: Bid to Play – Enter your maximum bid and if you're the highest bidder when the position closes you'll win your place on the team.
Option 2: Buy Now – Close the auction early and secure your place with a one-off payment online. Positions close at regular intervals until Thursday 5 March and opening bids start from just £165.
The date and time for the match is yet to be confirmed but will be announced on the club’s website once decided.
