Ahead of the Owls’ Championship meeting with Bolton, Sheffield Wednesday gave a warm welcome to the family of Alf Strange.
Alf played for Wednesday in the club’s golden period between 1928-35 and won a multitude of domestic honours and England caps.
His son Donald Strange is pictured above on Saturday at Hillsborough with a selection of his memorabilia and souvenirs.
Half-back Alf played a total of 273 games for the Owls and scored 22 goals along the way. He also won 20 full caps for England.
Alf passed away in 1978, aged 78.
